Recently on “Everyday Leadership”: Leading Women on Leading Men

Recently on “Everyday Leadership” Dan talked with three leading women about the work family debate. Dan discussed the differences in the ways men and women lead on both the work and home front, and how we view both.

Joan Williams Director of the Center for Work Life Law at the University of California, and Professor of Law at Hastings College of Law was back on the “Everyday Leadership” show. Joan and Dan discussed her book “Unbending Gender: Why Family and Work Conflict and What to Do About It.”

One of the nation’s leading political strategists Celinda Lake was on with Dan to talk about what exactly the “glass ceiling” is for women. Dan and Celinda will also talk about how we are seeing less women in Congress, and discussed whether or not women’s advancement is different in politics compared to business.

NYU Sociology Professor Kathleen Gerson was also on to talk to Dan about her recent book “The Unfinished Revolution: Coming of Age in a New Era of Gender, Work, and Family.” Dan and Joan also discussed growing up amid changing families and blurring gender lines.
